This week I devoted a lot of time creating 18 minigolf holes utilising multiple assets from a pre-made track pack. I also spent some time trying to get the ball physics to feel right without the camera judder and friction causing the ball to stick to walls.

Camera Correction

In order to correct the sticking I needed to lower the ball velocity's minimum speed in order to allow the ball to come to a complete stop. This meant that gravity would affect the ball and the ball wouldn't fight with the physics, stopping user input. I improved it so that when the ball is going less than 20 velocity, rather than 40, it comes to a complete stop, which fixed the issue.

Using the assets pack, I made the basic tracks and then used some static meshes and UE4 geometry to further enhance playability.

Next step was to further improve the UI. I got the settings screen to work and updated the visuals for the Main Menu, Options Menu, and Pause/Leaderboards Menu.
